Jeep safaris 1-3 days
RAS MOHAMMED Declared in 1983 and subjected to a comprehensive development program initiated in 1989, the Ras Mohammed National Park has since become an essential feature to the economic development on South Sinai. The boundaries of the National Park extend from a point opposite the Qad Ibn Haddan lighthouse on the Gulf of Suez to the southern boundary of the Nabq Protectorate on the Gulf of Suez.
The area includes the Island of Tiran and all shorelines fronting the Sharm el Sheikh tourism development area. It is essential that all users recognize their individual responsibility to protect the natural resources of the area, remembering that these are common property resources, of international importance, and the heritage of future Egyptian generations.
Coral reef ecosystems found in the National Park are recognized internationally as among the world's best. This recognition is based primarily on the diversity of flora and fauna, clear, warm water devoid of pollutants, their proximity to shorelines and their spectacular vertical profile. The reef exists as an explosion of color and life in stark contrast to the seemingly barren desert adjacent to it. The National Park offers outstanding coral reef and nature viewing experiences to the visitor.
Daily trips to Ras Mohammed (Naturparc in Sharm El Sheikh), to reach in around 1 hour by car from Dahab, are organised upon request. Here we dive at the famous sites like Shark Observatory or Yolanda Reef. Big Visa necessary. Minimum participants: 4 persons, prices on request. |

Camel Diving Safaris - Sinai Trekking
Diving Safaris The dive sites "Gabr El Bint" in the south or "Ras Abu Galum" in the north of Dahab which are belonging to the Natural Parc Area, are only attainable by Camels, which will bring us with all the equipment during a 1,5 hours ride to the unforgettable nice diving sites.
Our excursions with Camels are very exclusive trips and close to nature. We offer these excursions as 1- or 2-days trip. Staying overnight we recommend sleeping bags, because we sleep in simple tents beside the beach. The atmosphere in the evening is made by the sky full of stars, a nice camping fire and the soft music of the beduins.
During these safaris we can arrange for 3 dives per day. Around the diving spots of Ras Abu Galum and Gabr El Bint there is a lot to see for the drop-off freaks. The spots are in a very healthy condition, as there are only few people diving.
The food is completely done by Beduins, well known for the good taste, who offer constantly during the day the well tasting Beduin-tea.
The safaris can be booked in advance and be combined with a stay at our hotel, Daniela Village Dahab.Prices upon request, group discount possible.
Camel-Trekkingsafaris (1- or more days) without dives can also be organised by us. Information upon request. |

ABU GALUM
Abu Galum - Protected Area Characterized by its spectacular granite mountains ending abruptly on a narrow coastal plain fronted by rich coral reefs. Abu Galum owes its Protected status to its varied ecosystems, unique back reef communities and excellent coral reefs.
Recent surveys have identified 167 species of desert plants, many of which are not found in either Ras Mohammed or Nabq. As a result, Abu Galum also contains the largest number of Nubian Ibex, Hyrax, Red Fox, Striped Hyena and evidence of other mammalian species. The Abu Galum Protectorate is managed to ensure that its natural resources are safeguarded from all destructive activities. As a result, diving sites and shore access points are being prepared, nature trails through mountain areas have been identified, the area is being kept clean, Bedouin fishing activities are regulated, and a visitor center is under construction |
